A few days ago, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban posted a photo with BYD Chairman Wang Chuanfu on social media and wrote that BYD had established Europe's first automobile factory in Hungary. Previously, on January 30, BYD officially stated that it had officially signed a land pre-purchase agreement for BYD's Hungarian passenger car factory with the Szeged Municipal Government in Hungary, which marked a new substantive breakthrough in BYD's localization process in Europe.

BYD successfully delivered the BYD ATTO 3 model to the first batch of car owners in Hungary on February 23. BYD Group Chairman and President Wang Chuanfu and Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto Peter attended the event, which marked BYD's "successful opening of a new chapter in the Central and Eastern European market." Subsequently, Hungarian Prime Minister Orban issued a document praising BYD, saying that BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, will establish the first European automobile factory (passenger car) in Hungary. At present, ATTO 3, Dolphin and Seal have made their debut in Hungary in October last year. Hungary is the first Central and Eastern European market that BYD has entered.

It is reported that BYD said in December last year that it would build a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary. This will also be BYD's first passenger vehicle factory in Europe. The factory has already started construction and is expected to be completed and put into production in 2025. It will produce batteries and complete automobiles and bring thousands of jobs to the local area.

Hungary is located in the heart of the European continent. It has a long history of automobile industry development, developed infrastructure and mature industrial base. During the transformation of the global automobile industry, BYD has been working hard in Hungary. As early as seven years ago, it built BYD's first pure electric bus factory in Europe. Now it is building a new energy passenger car factory. BYD will continue to expand and Deepen cooperation on localization projects in Hungary.
